If you thought you were one of ten or twelve Democrats in Union Vale, you'll be happy to know there are many, many of us! The Union Vale Democratic Committee is dedicated to improving government, particularly on the local level. Last year we hosted a speaking event for Kirsten Gillibrand, the Congresswoman of the 20th district, at which Hillary Clinton made an appearance.

Each year we're trying harder to help the town by providing suggestions, committee membership, and candidates!

The Union Vale Democratic Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM in the senior center at Tymor Park. Our meetings focus on important issues for our town. Periodically we sponsor events, such as movies relating to pertinent issues and speakers on subjects such as successful campaign techniques. We're always looking for more members and we encourage you to come to a meeting to see what we're about.

We're now seeking candidates for offices to be elected in 2009. The following is a list of the offices and current salaries. Anyone interested in knowing more and/or running, please call Anne McCabe at 223-5734 and leave a message.
